New year—a new chapter, new verse, or
just the same old story? Ultimately we write it. The choice is ours. – Alex
Morritt.
Once January enters, people always seek
for new beginnings and have resolutions that they promise themselves and to
change for the better. Last year, 2020, has been a soul-destroying difficult
year for too many. Environmental disasters, the Covid-19 pandemic, political
issues, family problems and many more. So for me, I hope to be a more reliable
person that someone can rely on.
In this year, I want to develop myself
as a person. I want to be a strong person. A person who can handle things
really well and never gives up easily. I also want to be a fighter, that even
if I fall and stumble, I will stand back up.
Every year, I always remind myself
this phrase, “chase your fears.” I always want to remind myself this because
reaching my dream requires me to chase my fears. Also, because of the
happenings last year, I hope to be a person that my friends and family can rely
on. When they are exhausted or lonely, I hope to be a person that can bring happiness
to them.
This 2021, I hope that everyone can have happiness in their lives. I also hope that our world will unite and fight the challenges together. I believe that there will be always better days for us so let’s join our hands together and hope for a brighter world.
